RESOLUTION NO. 2025 - 031 <br />A Resolution of <br />the Board of County Commissioners <br />of Indian River County, Florida, <br />Approving the 2025 <br />Revised Indian River County <br />Unified Local Mitigation Strategy <br />WHEREAS, on March 3, 2020, Indian River County's updated Unified Local Mitigation <br />Strategy (LMS) was adopted by the Board of County Commissioners via Resolution No. 2020- <br />020; and <br />WHEREAS, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) requires that all <br />Hazard Mitigation plans must be reviewed and updated as appropriate, and resubmitted to Florida <br />Division of Emergency Management (FDEM) for approval every five (5) years; and <br />WHEREAS, staff has reviewed and approved Indian River County's hazard mitigation plan <br />and determined that it is compliant with federal standards and is now ready for approval by the <br />Board. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, that: <br />1. The updated Unified Local Mitigation Strategy (a copy of which is located in the Clerk to <br />the Board's Office) is hereby adopted as the official document for inclusion in the Statewide <br />Hazard Mitigation Strategy. <br />2. The 2025 Revised Indian River County Unified Local Mitigation Strategy Plan will be <br />forwarded to each municipality for their formal approval. <br />The Resolution was moved for adoption by Commissioner Earman . The <br />motion was seconded by Commissioner F l e s cher , and, upon being put to a vote, the <br />vote was as follows: <br />Chairman <br />Joseph E.
