Board of County Commissioners Meeting Minutes - Final <br />Waste Disposal District. <br />July 9, 2025 <br />The Board of County Commissioners reconvened as the Board of Commissioners for <br />the Solid Waste Disposal District. The minutes will be approved at an upcoming <br />Solid Waste Disposal District meeting. <br />18. 1:30 P.M. (PUBLIC HEARING) SOLID WASTE DISPOSAL DISTRICT (S.W.D.D.) <br />PROOF OF PUBLICATION FOR THIS HEARING IS ON FILE IN THE <br />OFFICE OF THE CLERK TO THE BOARD. <br />411-217 SANITARY LANDFILL <br />411-255 RECYCLING <br />25-0735 <br />Attachments: SWDD <br />County Administrator Titkanich informed the Board that they had previously voted to <br />adopt Universal Collection. The budget presented incorporated the rates that had <br />already been approved, excluding the universal collection assessment. Regarding the <br />landfill, he highlighted a significant budget change resulting from new contracts secured <br />with Republic Services. The Landfill costs were projected to increase from <br />$19,804,640 to $32,166,317, representing a $12,361,677 increase, or 62.4%. In <br />terms of recycling, although the increase was lower at 29.8%, it still indicated a <br />$3,604,409 increase. Overall, the total expenses for the Solid Waste Disposal District <br />(SWDD), excluding capital expenses, amounted to $42,047,435, marking a <br />$13,159,720 increase, or 45.6%. Administrator Titkanich reminded the Board that <br />the details for Universal Collection had already been approved the Residential and <br />Commercial Waste Generation Units, along with the Readiness -to -Use fee. For <br />Universal Collection, the annual assessment was noted to be $181.70. <br />The Chairman opened the public hearing for comments. There being none, the <br />Chairman closed the public hearing. <br />The Board of Commissioners adjourned the Solid Waste Disposal District meeting <br />and reconvened as the Board of County Commissioners of the Budget workshop <br />meeting beginning with Item 14, Streetlighting Districts. <br />19.
