<br />programs and legislation that monitor and ensure proper waste disposal activities.
<br />Policy 11.2: To maintain compliance with Title III (Emergency Planning and Community Right -to -
<br />Know Act) of the federal Superfund Amendments and Reauthorization Act (SARA), the c -County
<br />Emergency Services Department will maintain an update -to -date comprehensive inventory of the
<br />location, storage, manufacture, handling and/or transport of all hazardous materials in Indian River
<br />County. Regulated industries/facilities are required to submit annual reports to the State of Florida
<br />Emergency Response Commission and the local municipal fire department for hazardous and/or
<br />extremely hazardous substances stored, used or manufactured on site.
<br />Policy 11.4: Existingkne #Hazardous waste contaminated sites, identified on FDEP's Contamination
<br />Locator Map, as well as newly identified sites determined through assessments but not yet mapped by
<br />FDEP, shall be monitored and remediated, when feasible.

<br />Policy 12.3: By 2044,-41he eCounty shall enter inte and maintain a written i al interlocal
<br />agreement with the City of Vero Beach regarding management of the Orange Islands Conservation Area.
<br />Policy 12.4: For land tracts acquired through the Environmental Lands Program, the eCounty shall
<br />require a site-specific management plan to be adopted within ANe yen,- of acquisitioiH. Such management
<br />plans shall be subject to the review and recommendations of the County Conservation Lands Advisory
<br />Committee (CLAC). The County will, where feasible, construct public access improvements within
<br />years of management plan adoption.
