assistance though available sources to improve the pollutant removal of efficiency of existing stormwater <br /> management facilities and,where feasible,to construct new regional stormwater management facilities. <br /> Policy 7.7: The county shall work towards the eliminateion all point sources of pollution from private <br /> sewer plants and septic tanks contributing to water quality problems and nutrient enrichment of the <br /> Indian River Lagoon and the Upper St. Johns River Basin (as indicated in the Sanitary Sewer Sub- <br /> Element policies)by: <br /> Where practical, Gcontinuing to expand sanitary sewer service within the Urban Service Area; <br /> Requiring annual evaluation of private sewer plants; <br /> Requiring monitoring of septic tanks; <br /> Reusing irrigation quality wastewater for spray irrigation; <br /> — Requiring new developments to connect to a regional wastewater treatment facility; and <br /> Other policies contained the Sanitary Sewer Sub-Element. <br /> Policy 7.8: In compliance with the Indian River Lagoon Act of 1990, the eCounty shall eentinue-te <br /> comply with existing regulations prohibiting the discharge of effluent from domestic wastewater <br /> treatment plants into the Indian River Lagoon. <br /> Policy 7.9: The eCounty, in cooperation with the Indian River Soil and Water Conservation District <br /> (IRSWCD), shall advise all existing and newly Agricultural Exempt properties require all new groves <br /> to implement conservation plans; and non-structural best management practices <br /> (BMPs) as required by State of Florida Statutes. • . • • . - .. .
