This provision is intended to support members facing <br />extraordinary personal situations that do not qualify for sick leave but require immediate <br />time off. Hardship Leave requests will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Employees <br />must give a description of the hardship. Approval is at the discretion of the Fire Chief or <br />designee, and hardship hours will be taken from the employee's available annual leave <br />hours. <br />53 <br />
