McCoy, AICP�,�,i !V1 <br />Senior Planner, Curse t Development <br />DATE: November 20, 1996 <br />SUBJECT: Grand Harbor's Request for Approval of the Contract -for <br />Construction for Required Improvements for Harbor Village <br />Phase IV Plat 19 <br />It is requested that the data herein presented be given formal <br />consideration by the Board of County Commissioners at its regular <br />meeting of November 26, 1996. <br />BACKGROUND & ANALYSIS: <br />At its November 5, 1996 meeting, the Board of County Commissioners <br />approved the final plat for Harbor Villages IV Plat 19, and <br />authorized the chairman to sign a contract for construction of <br />required improvements. As reflected in staff's report to the <br />Board, an actual contract was not attached to staff's report based <br />on the fact that the applicant was still working with the county <br />attorney's office to determine a mutually agreeable financial <br />security arrangement and corresponding contract form. <br />Now, an agreeable financial security arrangement and corresponding <br />contract have been finalized. Therefore, the final form of the <br />contract is hereby presented to the Board for its approval. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Staff recommends that the Board of County Commissioners authorize <br />the Chairman to execute the attached contract for construction and <br />accept the attached letter of credit securing the contract. <br />11 <br />November 26, 1996 BOOK 99 FAUU 931 <br />
