The Board reviewed a Memorandum of November 20, 1996: <br />TO: Board of County Commissioners <br />FROM: Terrence P. O'Brien - Assistant County Attorney W06 <br />DATE: November 20, 1996 <br />SUBJECT: PROPOSED RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AN INTERLOCAL <br />AGREEMENT AND THE ISSUANCE OF REVENUE BONDS <br />NOT TO EXCEED $29,500,000.00 BY THE PALM BEACH <br />COUNTY HEALTH FACILITIES AUTHORITY <br />The Board of County Commissioners at its regular meeting of November <br />12, 1996 approved the subject matter for a public hearing on November <br />26, 1996. Notice of the hearing was published in the Press Journal. <br />A copy of the proposed resolution and interlocal agreement are <br />attached. <br />Administrator Chandler briefly explained that ACTS was <br />desirous of refinancing five facilities, three in Palm Beach County <br />and two in Indian River County. Before the Board today is approval <br />of an Interlocal Agreement and issuance of Revenue Bonds not to <br />exceed $29,500,000 by the Palm Beach County Health Facilities <br />Authority. <br />The Chairman opened the public hearing and asked if anyone <br />wished to be heard in this matter. <br />Jerry Neal, attorney with Foley and Lardner, appearing on <br />behalf of Adult Communities Total Services, Inc., advised he was <br />present to answer any questions. <br />Commissioner Eggert sought assurance for the record that this <br />matter did not affect Indian River County's allotment, and OMB <br />Director Joe Baird advised she was correct. <br />It was determined that no one else wished to be heard and the <br />Chairman closed the public hearing. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Eggert, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Ginn, the Board unanimously adopted <br />Resolution No. 96-149 approving an Interlocal <br />Agreement and the issuance of revenue bonds in an <br />amount not to exceed $29,500,000 by the Palm Beach <br />County Health Facilities Authority. <br />17 <br />November 26, 1996 <br />BGoK 99 E 937 <br />
