PAVING IMPROVEMENTS TO 53RD AVENUE SOUTH OF 16TH <br />STREET IN SUNDOWNER'S SUBDIVISION - AS -BUILT RESOLUTION <br />AND ASSESSMENT ROLL <br />The Board reviewed a Memorandum of November 13, 1996: <br />TO: James Chandler <br />County Administrator DATE: November 13, 1996 <br />THROUGH: James W. Davis, P.E. <br />j <br />Public Works Director <br />and f <br />Roger D. Cain, P.E. <br />County Engineer <br />FROM: Michelle A. Gentile, CET C <br />Civil Engineer <br />SUBJECT: As -Built Resolutions & Assessment Rolls for Paving Improvements to 53rd <br />Avenue South of 16th Street in Sundowner's Subdivision <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS <br />The paving of the above road has been completed. The final assessment is as follows: <br />Preliminary Estimates Final Cost <br />$23,408.08 - 100%* $ 22,346.87 - 100%* <br />14.5 Parcels 14.5 Parcels <br />$ 1,614.35 Per Parcel $1,541.17 Per Parcel <br />* This figure includes 2% Tax Collector's fee <br />The final assessment rolls have been prepared and are ready to be delivered to the Clerk <br />to the Board. Assessments are to be paid within 90 days or in 2 equal installments, the first <br />to be made twelve months from the due date and subsequent payments to be due yearly <br />from the due date at an interest rate of 81/2% established by the Board of County <br />Commissioners. <br />ALTERNATIVES AND ANALYSIS <br />Since the final assessment to the benefitted owners is less than the preliminary assessment <br />roll, the only alternative presented is to approve the final assessment rolls. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />It is recommended that the final assessment roll and the "As -Built Resolution" for the <br />paving of the above mentioned roads be approved by the Board of County Commissioners <br />and that it be transferred to the Tax Collector for recording in the "Assessment Lien Book" <br />and for collection. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Eggert, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Ginn, the Board unanimously adopted <br />Resolution No. 96-150 certifying "as -built" costs <br />for certain paving improvements to 53rd Avenue south <br />of 16th Street in Sundowner l s g11hti i -,i Q; „n <br />designated as Project No. 9218, and other <br />construction necessitated by such project; providing <br />for formal completion date, and date for payment <br />without penalty and interest. <br />39 <br />November 26, 1996 Boa 99 PAGE 959 <br />
