This workshop involved both the <br />Board of County Commissioners and the Planning and Zoning Commission <br />(PZC), that would focus on the planned development review and approval <br />process. <br />Read into the record by County Attorney Jennifer Shuler <br />12. COUNTY ADMINISTRATOR MATTERS <br />12.A. 25-0959 Ratification of Amendment to the Collective Bargaining Agreement <br />between Indian River County and Teamsters, Local Union No. 769 <br />Providing for General Wage Increases for Fiscal Years 2025/26 and <br />2026/27 <br />Recommended Action: Staff respectfully requests the Board approve ratification of the amendment to the <br />Collective Bargaining Agreement between Indian River County and Teamsters Local <br />Union No. 769 providing for general wage increases for fiscal years 2025/26 and <br />2026/27 and authorize the Board Chair to sign the amendment. <br />Attachments: Amendment to Article 33 Wages <br />Exhibit A - Amendment to Article 33 Wages <br />County Administrator John Titkanich announced that the negotiations between the <br />County and Teamsters Union 769 concerning the wage reopeners for the remainder <br />of the contract were successfully completed. This contract covered Fiscal Years (FY) <br />2025-2026 and 2026-2027 and was part of the collective bargaining agreement set <br />to expire on September 30, 2027. He stated that the Teamsters approved the <br />amendment, which was presented to the Board for ratification. The amendment <br />included a general wage increase of 4% or $1 per hour, whichever was greater, <br />effective from the beginning of the pay period in October 2025. All other terms and <br />conditions of the collective bargaining agreement remained unchanged. He noted that <br />the budgetary impact revealed a shortfall of $66,768 in the FY 2025-2026 Budget. <br />Initially, it was stated that funding would come from cash forward starting October 1, <br />2025, through a budget amendment. However, the Board was assured that there was <br />Indian River County, Florida Page 11 <br />
