Board of County Commissioners Meeting Minutes - Final October 7, 2025 <br />Recommended Action: Recommend read & present. <br />Attachments: Proclamation <br />Jennifer Fox, CEO of Safespace, Inc., thanked the Board for declaring October as <br />Domestic Violence Awareness Month. She praised the Safespace team for their <br />efforts in raising awareness in Indian River County. Last year, the organization <br />received 250-275 monthly crisis calls and supported 891 survivors, including 165 <br />children. Additionally, 378 individuals utilized safe homes, and legal advocacy was <br />provided to 359 survivors. Ms. Fox emphasized the importance of collaborating with <br />community partners to enhance support services and expand educational efforts. <br />Read and presented by Chairman Flescher <br />6.
