Board of County Commissioners Meeting Minutes - Final November 4, 2025 <br />Attachments: Attachment 1 Jungle Trail Island Manor Assessment.odf <br />Attachment 2 Aoaraisals.adf <br />Attachment 3 Draft Sales Agreement Jungle Trail Island Club <br />Manor.f <br />Deputy County Administrator Mike Zito presented the updated proposal for the <br />acquisition of the Jungle Trail Island Club, a 19.6 -acre tier -one property, through the <br />Environmental Lands Acquisition Panel (ELAP). He stated that this matter was <br />thoroughly discussed at the ELAP's October 24, 2025, meeting. After allowing the <br />public time to review the appraisals and gather feedback, staff followed the <br />established process and presented the information to the Board. <br />In response to Commissioner Earman, Wendy Swindell, the Assistant Director of <br />Parks, Recreation & Conservation, emphasized the importance of the nearby location <br />next to Captain Forster. She noted that staff aimed to tackle several issues at Captain <br />Forster, particularly the flooding on the south side. Ms. Swindell explained that the <br />site was essentially a blank slate, presenting a new opportunity for staff to consider <br />potential solutions. She stated that staff would present a conceptual plan to the Board <br />outlining what would be feasible. <br />A motion was made by Commissioner Earman, seconded by Commissioner <br />Adams, to approve staffs recommendation. The motion carried by the following <br />vote: <br />Aye: 5 - Chairman Flescher, Vice Chairman Loar, Commissioner Adams, Commissioner <br />Earman, and Commissioner Moss <br />I.
