BOOK 99 mAcEJ033 <br />Rosemary Wilson stated that she works in commercial real <br />estate and is licensed under State regulations. She would. be <br />subject to losing her license if she did not inform a client of the <br />regulations or restrictions on a piece of property. She urged the <br />Board to keep the ordinance intact. <br />George Lakanides of 9th Drive felt we need to change our laws <br />to accommodate today's population and growth. <br />There being no others who wished to be heard, Chairman Adams <br />closed the public discussion. <br />Chairman Adams summarized that today's meeting is for the <br />purpose of deciding whether or not to direct staff to prepare an <br />ordinance reducing the separation distances between churches and <br />schools and advertise it for a public hearing at which the Board <br />will consider its adoption. <br />Commissioner Ginn was opposed to any change and Commissioner <br />Eggert agreed because she believed our standard should be <br />maintained. <br />Lori Fothergill stated that she would not do anything to harm <br />the community, but she is in fact operating under an ex post facto <br />law. She suggested that we step up our law enforcement on people <br />who buy beer in a bag and drink while driving. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Macht, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Ginn, the Board by a vote of 4-1 <br />(Chairman Adams dissenting) directed staff not to <br />advertise for a public hearing or continue any <br />further study on changing the separation <br />requirements. <br />AUTHORIZATION TO PROCEED WITH CLOSING ON FISCHER- <br />SEBASTIAN RIVER LAAC SITE <br />The Board reviewed the following memo dated 11/25/96: <br />DECEMBER 3, 1996 57 <br />
