L. Real Estate Auction/Sale of Old Courthouse, Annex, Former State <br />Attorney Office Building,, et al <br />The Board reviewed a Memorandum of December 4, 1996: <br />TO: Board of County Commissioners <br />FROM: Terrence P. O'Brien - Assistant County Attorney 1911-2 <br />DATE: December 4, 1996 <br />SUBJECT: INDIAN RIVER COUNTY REAL ESTATE AUCTION <br />The auction of the Courthouse, adjacent property and the former State <br />Attorney office building was conducted on November 22, 1996. <br />The former State Attorney office building went for $267,000.00 plus a <br />percent Buyer's Premium. <br />The remaining buildings and parking lots went for $502,000.00 plus a 10 <br />percent Buyer's Premium. <br />On December 3, 1996 the City of Vero Beach at its regular meeting <br />abandoned the alley between the Courthouse and the annex. <br />Everything is in order for a closing in the immediate future. <br />Staff recommends that the Board authorize the Chairman to execute the <br />attached deeds or similar deeds conveying the property. The <br />Purchasers have not decided exactly how title should be taken. It is <br />important that we move ahead so that we can have a closing in <br />December 1996. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Eggert, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Tippin, the Board unanimously <br />authorized execution of deeds conveying the <br />properties, as recommended in the Memorandum. <br />DEEDS WILL BE RECORDED IN THE PUBLIC RECORD <br />OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY <br />RECORDED QUIT CLAIM DEED (FROM CITY OF VERO BEACH) <br />HAS BEEN PLACED ON FILE <br />IN THE OFFICE OF THE CLERK TO THE BOARD <br />19 <br />December 10, 1996 <br />BOOK 99 PACFI08' <br />
