December 17, 1996 <br />The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, <br />Florida, met in Regular Session at the County Commission Chambers, <br />1840 25th Street, Vero Beach, Florida, on Tuesday, December 17, <br />1996, at 9:00 a.m. Present were Fran B. Adams, Chairman; Carolyn <br />K. Eggert, Vice Chairman; Kenneth R. Macht; John W. Tippin; and <br />Caroline D. Ginn. Also present were James E. Chandler, County <br />Administrator; Charles P. Vitunac, County Attorney; and Patricia <br />"PJ" Jones, Deputy Clerk. <br />Chairman Adams called the meeting to order and announced that <br />this will be the last meeting of the Board for 1996. Reverend Joe <br />Brooks of 20th Avenue Church of God gave the Invocation, and <br />Commissioner Macht led the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br />ADDITIONS TO THE AGENDA <br />Chairman Adams requested two additions to today's Agenda: <br />1. Item 7-Q, Richard R. Aldrich's Public <br />Official's Bond. <br />2. Item 13-A, discussion regarding the County's Ethics <br />Ordinance. <br />Commissioner Eggert requested the addition of Item 7-P, <br />appointment of John Tippin to the Juvenile Justice Council. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Eggert, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Ginn, the Board unanimously added the <br />above items to the Agenda. <br />PROCLAMATION <br />Chairman Adams presented the following Proclamation to Ann <br />Robinson, Supervisor of Elections, on her retirement effective. <br />December 31, 1996. <br />Mrs. Robinson thanked the Board and stated it has been an <br />honor to serve the County. <br />Commissioner Tippin remarked that Ann will be missed, and <br />Chairman Adams wished her good luck and commented that Texas' gain <br />is the County's loss. <br />DECEMBER 17, 1996 1 <br />0o .F . <br />f^ <br />
