RESOLUTION 97- 02 <br />Chairman and Vice Chairman of the Board of County Commissioners; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the County Commission did nominate and select as <br />Chairman , and as Vice Chairman ; and <br />WHEREAS, Jeffrey K. Barton was elected Clerk of the Circuit <br />Court of Indian River County effective December 31, 1988, also <br />serves as a Clerk to the Board of County Commissioners, pursuant to <br />Section 125.167, Florida Statutes; and <br />WHEREAS, it is now necessary to reinstruct the County's <br />depositories as to the signatures necessary to honor County warrants, <br />checks, or other orders for the payment of money drawn in the <br />Commission's name, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF <br />COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA <br />that: <br />1. The County Commission has in the past <br />designated certain <br />institutions as official depositories of County <br />funds, and such <br />designations are hereby ratified and affirmed. <br />2. Each designated depository of the Commission is hereby <br />requested, authorized, and directed to honor checks, warrants, or <br />other orders for payment of money drawn in the <br />Commission's name, <br />including those payable to the individual orders <br />of any person or <br />persons whose name or names appear thereon, <br />when bearing the <br />facsimile signature of the Clerk of the Circuit <br />Court, when said <br />check, warrants, or other orders for the payment <br />of money equals or <br />does not exceed the sum of three thousand dollars <br />($3,000). <br />3. If a check, warrant, or other orders for the payment of <br />money drawn in the Commission's name exceeds <br />the sum of three <br />thousand dollars ($3,000), said designated depositories are authorized <br />and directed to honor checks, warrants, or other <br />orders for payment <br />of money drawn in the Commission's name, only <br />when such check, <br />warrant, or other orders for payment of money <br />bears the facsimile <br />signature of the Chairman and Clerk of the Circuit <br />Court and further <br />29 <br />80OX + 4.0 <br />January 7, 1997 <br />
