Tuesday, January 28, 1997 <br />The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, <br />Florida, met in Special Session at the County Commission Chambers, <br />1840 25th Street, Vero -Beach, Florida on Tuesday, January 28, 1997 <br />at 9:00 a.m. Present were Carolyn K. Eggert, Chairman; John W. <br />Tippin, Vice Chairman; Fran B. Adams; Caroline D. Ginn; and <br />Kenneth R. Macht. Also present were James Chandler, County <br />Administrator; Charles P. Vitunac, County Attorney; and Barbara <br />Bonnah, Deputy Clerk. <br />The Chairman called the meeting to order, and Attorney Vitunac <br />led the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br />ADDITIONS TO TIS AGENDA/EMERGENCY ITEMS <br />Chairman Eggert requested the addition of the following items <br />on the Consent Agenda: <br />J. Letter of congratulations to New Salem Fellowship <br />Missionary Baptist Church. <br />K. Proclamation - George Schum Day <br />Chairman Eggert also requested the addition of 9-B, Discussion <br />on Sea Walls at Summerplace. <br />Administrator Chandler requested the deletion of Item 11-C, <br />Mail Room Copy Machine. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Adams, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Tippin, the Board unanimously added and <br />deleted the above items. <br />PROCLAMATION - RETIREMENT OF GUNTER O. KUEHN <br />Chairman Eggert presented the following proclamation to Gunter <br />O. Kuehn with best wishes for his retirement, and Mr. Kuehn <br />expressed his appreciation for having been a member of the Fire <br />Division of Indian River County for the past 24 years and serving <br />the citizens of this community. <br />1 <br />JANUARY 289 1997 <br />BOOK UU PAGE •Jotj <br />
