Commissioner Ginn commented that she felt the County is <br />getting a bargain in this lease. <br />Sheriff Wheeler commented that several departments, such as <br />special operations, ranch and grove, marine patrol, and the K-9 <br />unit, will all be working out of this facility. <br />Commissioner Adams was concerned that this is only a 5 -year <br />lease, and Assistant County Attorney Terry O'Brien advised that is <br />the maximum the County is allowed to enter into. The lease was <br />originally structured at 30 years and revised to be entered into in <br />a series of 5 -year leases.
