PROCLAMATION - WELCOMING THE "NAMES" PROTECT AIDS <br />MEMORIAL QUILT DISPLAY <br />Chairman Eggert read the following proclamation and presented <br />it to Richard Rosenkranz. <br />PROCLAMATION <br />WELCOMING THE "NAMES" PROJECT <br />AIDS MEMORIAL QUILT DISPLAY <br />WHEREAS, the Names Project AIDS Memorial Quilt Display will be in Vero <br />Beach from April 4 through April 7, 1997 at the First Baptist Church; and <br />WHEREAS, this display will feature close to seven hundred three by six-foot <br />panels each commemorating the life of some one who has died of AIDS; and <br />WHEREAS, this local display is part of a larger AIDS Memorial Quilt of over <br />40,000 panels; and <br />WHEREAS, the quilt helps people to better understand and respond to the <br />crisis of AIDS, while providing a positive means of expression for those grieving <br />the passing of loved ones, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT PROCLAIMED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, -FLORIDA, that the period April <br />4 to April 7, 1997 is recognized as a time for remembrance and healing for <br />those who have been affected, in some way, by this crisis of AIDS. <br />APPROVED and ADOPTED on this 25th day of March, 1997. <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA <br />By <br />CarK Egge <br />Chairman <br />5 <br />Richard Rosenkranz appreciated the support of the Board and <br />invited the Commissioners to attend the opening ceremonies on April <br />4, 1997, at 7 PM at First Baptist Church.
