UJ o'*1fiVy'8_2 ` «M9844883379 LAND MANAGEMENT SERV PAGE 05 <br />'demanded the removal of the structure or otherwise notified <br />2 the landownero_f its objection to the placement of_ the <br />3 structure on the land. <br />4 (b) Upon reguest by the landowner, the countXtax <br />5 collector shall record in the official records of the county <br />6 in which the land is located a certificate that the taxes have <br />7 been paid since January 1, 1971, by the landowner or the <br />8 landowner's predecessor in title, if in fact the taxes have <br />9 been paid. If the landowner, and any predecessor in title of <br />10 the landowner, have not been liable for taxes since at least <br />a 11 Julv 1, 1990, a copy of the building permit or other evidence <br />12 that would be acceptable to the tax assessor to prove <br />13 construction of a buildino on the land in which the state or <br />14 local government claims an interest shall be recorded in the <br />15 official records of the county. <br />16 '(3) All interest of the state or a local government in <br />17 any land that was acquired by the state under chanter 18296, <br />18 Laws of Florida, 1937, and that is not <br />19 subseotherwise described in <br />ction (1) or subsection (2) expires July 1 2002 unless <br />20 before that date, the overneâ–ºental entitY claiming the <br />21 interest files a statement of its claim in the official <br />22 records of the county documenting its right to the claim and <br />23 provides a copy of the statement to the De son shown on the <br />24 official records of the count as the fee simple owner of the <br />25 land. A landowner has 2 years after receiving the statement <br />26 to institute anv legal action to challenge the governmental <br />27 entity's claim <br />28 Section 2.
