13AL FLORIDA TOURISM ASSOCIATION MEMBERSHIP <br />Commissioner Tippin requested that the Tourism Development Council join the Florida <br />Tourism Association, which represents Florida attractions, etc. They have a great deal of input into the <br />Florida Commission on Tourism as to how funds are to be spent. Dues are $500 and can bep aid from <br />tourist tax funds. <br />MOTION WAS MADE by Commissioner Adams, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Ginn, to approve $500 membership fee for the Tourist <br />Development Council to join the Florida Tourism Association. <br />Commissioner Ginn questioned whether the membership would obligate the County in any <br />way, and Commissioner Tippin responded that it would not. <br />THE CHAIRMAN CALLED THE QUESTION and the motion <br />carried unanimously (4-0, Commissioner Macht being absent). <br />13.B.2. ATTEND TOURISM SEMINAR <br />Commissioner Tippin requested approval to attend the Governor's Council 1997 Annual <br />Symposium, which will be in Orlando, May 15-17,1997. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Adams, SECONDED by Commissioner Ginn, <br />the Board unanimously (4-0, Commissioner Macht being absent) approved <br />Commissioner Tippin's attendance at the Annual Symposium in Orlando, as <br />requested. <br />B.C.
