BACKGROUND <br />On July 2, 1996, the Board of County Commissioners approved the reduction in the retainage <br />amount forpayment of the above -referenced project to Coastal Construction of Brevard, Inc. to <br />2% or $37,014.77 for performance and final acceptance by the County. <br />ANALYSIS <br />The work has been accepted by the Department of Utility Services. The engineer (Masteller & <br />Moler) recommends final payment to be made to Coastal Construction of Brevard, Inc. in the <br />amount of $37,014.77. UW -96 -05 -DS <br />RESOLUTIONS I AND II <br />BACKGROUND <br />On March 26, 1996, the Board of County Commissioners of Indian <br />River County unanimously authorized staff to proceed with the <br />necessary surveys, design, and assessment of this project to <br />provide water service. Design has been completed by the Department <br />of Utility Services staff. We are now ready to begin the <br />assessment process associated with this project. (See attached <br />agenda item and minutes of the above meeting.) <br />ANALYSIS <br />Thirteen (13) properties within a portion of Indian River Acres <br />Subdivision will benefit from water service. The attached map <br />displays the area to benefit from the assessment project. <br />Attached are Resolutions I and II for the assessment project. The <br />total estimated project cost, including engineering and <br />administration is $64,079.00, less a non -assessed portion of <br />$40,229.00.
