7.K Indian River Club Plat 3 — Extension of Contract for Construction of Required Improvements The Board reviewed a Memorandum of April 21, 1997: TO: The Board of County Commissioners DATE: April 21, 1997 FROM: ,,C William G. Collins II - Deputy County Attorney SUBJECT: Indian River Club Plat 3 - Extension of Contract for Construction of Required Improvements No. PD -96-08-20-3A The Indian River Club, Ltd. has requested an extension to complete required improvements at the Indian River Club Plat 3. Approximately 3% of improvements are incomplete. The Contract for Construction of Required Improvements which was entered into on November 6, 1996 by the developer and the County calls for the required work to be completed by April 30, 1997. The developer indicates that additional time will be needed to complete the work, have it certified by the project engineer, and inspected by the County. A letter of credit not expiring until November 15, 1997 secures completion of the work. RECOMMENDATION: Authorize the Chairman to execute the Modification to Contract for Construction of Required Improvements No. PD -96-08-20-3A to extend the completion date to August 15, 1997. ON MOTION by Commissioner Ginn, SECONDED by Commissioner Tippin, the Board unanimously approved the Modification to Contract for Construction of Required Improvements to extend the completion date to August 15, 1997, and authorized the Chairman to execute same, as recommended by staff.
