CHASTA AND STAFFED MANAGER OF ASS NT PROJECTS _ BY: DEPARTMENT OF UTILITY SERVICES SUBJECT: PONDEROSA ESTATES WATER SERVICE (UNIT ONE, 60TH AVENUE, SOUTH OF 45TH STREET) INDIAN RIVER COUNTY PROJECT NO. UW -96 -06 -DS RESOLUTION IV - FINAL ASSESSMENT BACKGROUND On August 20, 1996, the Indian River County Board of County Commissioners approved Resolution III, No. 96-97, for the preliminary assessment roll on the above -referenced project. Construction of the project has been completed. Customer connections have begun, and we request the Board of County Commissioners' approval of the final assessment roll. (See attached minutes and Resolution III.) ANALYSIS The preliminary assessment was for a total estimated cost to be assessed of $85,303.50, which equated to $0.08640175267 per square foot of property owned. The final assessment (see attached Resolution IV and the accompanying assessment roll) is in the amount of $60,035.00, which equates to a cost -of - $0.060808 (rounded) per square foot of property. The staff of the Department of Utility Services recommends that the Board of County Commissioners approve the adoption of Resolution IV. ON MOTION by Commissioner Adams, SECONDED by Commissioner Macht, the Board, by a 4-0 vote (Commissioner Tippin being absent) adopted Resolution 97- 45 certifying "as -built° costs for installation of water service to Ponderosa Estates Unit One (6& Avenue south of 45� Street) and such other construction necessitated by such project; providing for formal completion date, and date for payment without penalty and interest.
