North County <br />A connected series of bikepaths and sidewalks will be built when this project is <br />Recreation Route <br />complete. A separated recreation path along SR AIA will be built, extending the <br />present path from its terminus at Indian River Shores northward to County Road <br />510. The path would then extend along CR 510 to 66th Avenue. A sidewalk <br />along 66th Avenue is also proposed from Barber Street to 77th Street. Presently, <br />the SR AIA path is under design. <br />Approximately $1,300,000 in enhancement funding is currently budgeted for this <br />project. <br />Vero Beach <br />This project proposes a separated path along Indian River Boulevard connecting <br />Causeway <br />the 17th Street bridge to the new Merrill Barber Bridge. Sidewalks would also <br />Connector <br />be built along Royal Palm Boulevard, Royal Paha Place, and 23rd Street to <br />connect to existing sidewalks. Approximately $200,000 in enhancement funding <br />is currently budgeted for this project. <br />South County <br />The South County Recreation Route will provide pedestrian and bicycle access <br />Recreation Route <br />to the South County Regional Park, the Vero Beach Highlands and J.A. <br />Thompson Elementary Schools, Oslo Middle School, and the US 1 commercial <br />area. Separated paths or sidewalks will be built along 27th Avenue south of the <br />South Relief Canal to 14th Street SW, 4th Street to connect to US 1, Oslo Road <br />to connect to US 1, South US 1 to complete the sidewalk between the South Vero <br />Square shopping center and 10th Street, and Highlands Drive between the B-10 <br />Canal and US 1. Approximately $200,000 in enhancement funding is currently <br />budgeted for this project, with Indian River County providing additional funds to <br />complete the project. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Ginn, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Macht, the Board (40, Commissioner Tippin <br />being absent) unanimously authorized staff to submit the <br />transportation enhancement project applications, agreed to be <br />the project sponsor for the applications, and authorized the <br />Chairman to execute a project sponsor certification statement <br />for each application, pursuant to staffs recommendations. <br />DOCUMENTS WILL BE ON FILE IN THE OFFICE <br />OF THE CLERK TO THE BOARD <br />V WON 10 V� <br />11.A.3.
