Tuesday, May 27, 1997 <br />The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, Florida, met in Regular <br />Session in County Commission Chambers, 1840 25h Street, Vero Beach, Florida, on Tuesday, <br />May 27, 1997, at 9:00 a.m. Present were Carolyn K. Eggert, Chairman; John W. Tippin, Vice <br />Chairman; Fran B. Adams; Caroline D. Ginn, and Kenneth R. Macht. Also present were James <br />E. Chandler, County Administrator; Charles P. Vitunac, County Attorney, and Patricia Ridgely, <br />Deputy Clerk. <br />1. CALL TO ORDER <br />Chairman Eggert called the meeting to order at 9:00 a.m. <br />2. INVOCATION <br />Commissioner Tippin gave the invocation. <br />3. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE <br />Commissioner Adams led the Pledge. <br />4. ADDITIONS TO THE AGENDMEMERGENCY ITEMS <br />Chairman Eggert called upon County Attorney Charles P. Vitunac to explain the moving <br />of the Claims Review Hearing and adding it to the agenda as item 12. <br />Commissioner Macht requested the addition of two items: 13.E.1. — Comment on Herb <br />Kale Trail; and 13.E.2. — Children's Services Network Report. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Ginn, SECONDED BY Commissioner <br />Tippin, the Board unanimously added the above items to the agenda. <br />5. PROCLAMATIONS AND PRESENTATIONS <br />This item was delayed as the recipient was not present. It was actually presented after the <br />public hearings at which time Chairman Eggert read the following proclamation and presented it <br />to Mr. Rodney Walls.
