These funds <br />represent the revenue generated from the housing of Broward County inmates for the month of May, 1997. <br />A portion of these monies will be used by the aviation unit for salaries and operating expense. Another <br />portion will be used to purchase three (3) vehicles for Law Enforcement. The balance will increase the <br />Corrections budget in the such areas as office supplies, departmental maintenance, food for jail, jail <br />supplies, inmate clothing and to purchase a PC for the Inmate Clasiffication component. These added <br />expenses are directly related to the increased inmate population. <br />The budget amendment will be distributed as follows: <br />Law Enforcement Salaries <br />$ 7,230 <br />Law Enforcement Expense <br />14,000 <br />Law Enforcement Capital <br />70,000 <br />Corrections Expense <br />42,615 <br />Corrections Capital Outlay <br />3,000 <br />Total <br />$ 136,845 <br />I have attached a worksheet to further detail the above amounts.
