ON MOTION by Commissioner Ginn, SECONDED BY <br />Commissioner Adams, the Board unanimously granted the cut and <br />fill balance waiver based on the criteria of Section 930.07(2)(d)4, <br />as recommended in the Memorandum. <br />C. Miscellaneous Budget Amendment No. 028 <br />The Board reviewed a Memorandum dated July 2, 1997: <br />TO: Members of the Board <br />of County Commissioners <br />DATE: July 2, 1997 <br />SUBJECT: MISCELLANEOUS BUDGET AMENDMENT 028 <br />CONSENT AGENDA <br />FROM: Joseph A. Baird(, <br />OMB Director <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDPITONS <br />The attached budget amendment is to appropriate funding for the following: <br />1. The attached entry appropriates money for the run-off health insurance claims in the <br />amount of approximately $1,550,000. These claims are for the County's old health <br />insurance plan under Anthem Life. There was sufficient cash set aside to pay these <br />claims. <br />2. On June 17, 1997 the Board of County Commissioners approved paying the impact fees <br />for the Gifford Jaycee Building in the amount of $5,276.00 from General Fund <br />contingency. <br />3. The Gifford Community Center Building needs painted at an estimated cost of $3,500.00. <br />Staff is recommending funding come from General Fund contingency. <br />4. On June 17, 1997 the Board of County Commissioners approved the PEP Reef Sea Turtle <br />monitoring contract and budget amendment. The attached entry appropriates funding to <br />purchase the equipment. <br />5. On March 20, 1996, the Board of County Commissioners approved the State and Local <br />Assistance Match Grant for Emergency Management.
