HOTCHKISS, P.E. 0 <br />AND STAFFED ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEER <br />BY: DEPARTMENT OF UTILITY SERVICES <br />SUBJECT: DEVELOPER'S AGREEMENT TO OVERSIZE LIFT STATION AT <br />GROVE PLACE MEDICAL CENTER <br />CDS/CCS 616 <br />BACKGROUND <br />In conjunction with construction <br />Center located on the south side <br />River Memorial Hospital, we have <br />lift station and force main to <br />Exhibit A on attached developer's <br />ANALYSIS <br />of the new Grove Place Medical <br />of 36th Street, west of Indian <br />requested the over sizing of a <br />serve the surrounding area (see <br />agreement). <br />This developer's agreement covers the over sizing of a sub -regional <br />lift station and a 1,224 foot section of force main to serve the <br />adjacent parcel to the west. Monies for over sizing of the lift <br />station and force main will be recovered in the future as the <br />parcel to the west develops. For details of the proposed cost- <br />sharing, see Exhibits A, B and C. The total estimated project cost <br />is $117,156.21. The total portion attributable to the County has <br />been specified not to exceed $70,293.73 (see attached developer's <br />agreement). Interim funding for this project will be from the <br />impact fee fund. The developer for Grove Place has paid $12,560.00 <br />in water impact fees and $20,408.00 in sewer impact fees for the <br />initial phase, and is expected to pay an additional $31,200.00 in <br />water impact fees and $67,104.00 in sewer impact fees during future <br />planned expansions. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />The staff of the Department of Utility Services recommends that the <br />Board of County Commissioners approve the attached developer's <br />agreement, approve the future recovery of costs contributed to the <br />over sizing of facilities and authorize the Chairman to execute <br />same, as presented. <br />B®OK N FAGE312 <br />August 12, 1997 <br />
