She was <br />happy with the way we do it now. <br />Chairman Eggert reminded them that a decision can be tabled to a future date; they <br />do not have to make a decision at "Special Meetings", (sometimes erroneously called <br />"workshops") such as is coming up Monday night. The decisions to be made Monday <br />night (September 8, 1997) will be more to direct staff as to changes regarding <br />landscaping in the Land Development Regulations (LDRs). The changes will come back <br />in written form (ordinance) for public hearings and a vote. <br />Commissioner Macht recalled a joint meeting with the School Board and, while no <br />vote was made at that meeting, each of the Commissioners had a very good <br />understanding of what was going to happen because a lot of information came forth in <br />that meeting. <br />Commissioner Ginn advised that what prompted her mentioning this was the <br />Waste Management contract last week when Commissioner Adams thought she needed <br />more time. Also, members of the public had contacted her and wished that they had more <br />time for input. <br />Chairman Eggert reminded her that item was on the agenda for a regular meeting, <br />regular time, and Commissioner Adams had not expressed a desperate desire for more <br />time at that meeting. <br />Commissioner Adams commented that she could have insisted, but did not feel the <br />need at the time. Whenever more information is needed before making a decision, they <br />may request that it be tabled. Generally the Board will honor such a request. <br />Chairman Eggert felt that they had to go "workshop" -by -"workshop". Some are <br />obvious and others more complex. She did not feel that they could say that no decision <br />could be made at any of their "workshops". _ <br />U.C.
