October 21, 1997 <br />REGULAR MEETING OF BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS <br />The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, Florida, met in Regular <br />Session at the County Commission Chambers, 1840 25' Street, Vero Beach, Florida, on <br />Tuesday, October 21, 1997, at 9:05 a.m. Present were Carolyn K. Eggert, Chairman; John <br />W. Tippin, Vice Chairman; Fran B. Adams; and Caroline D. Ginn. Commissioner Kenneth <br />R. Macht was absent due to the death of his mother. Also present were James E. Chandler, <br />County Administrator; Charles P. Vitunac, County Attorney; and Patricia "PJ" Jones, Deputy <br />Clerk. <br />1, CALL TO ORDER <br />Chairman Eggert called the meeting to order. <br />2. INVOCATION <br />Reverend Richard Clark of Our Savior Lutheran Church gave the Invocation. <br />3 PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE <br />County Attorney Vitunac led the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br />4. ADDITIONS TO THE AGENDA <br />Commissioner Ginn requested the addition of Item 11-H-5, North County Wastewater <br />Treatment Plant awards. <br />Chairman Eggert requested the addition of Item 13-A, Agreement Among EPA and <br />FWS Regarding Enhanced Protection of Endangered Species (new rules regarding clean <br />water). <br />OCTOBER 21, 1997 <br />
