Commissioner Macht felt it would be better to enforce the laws we already have and <br />commented that he had seen a white van with someone throwing trash out of the window <br />with a policeman right behind him. Nothing was done. He felt asking local law enforcement <br />agencies to step up enforcement of the existing laws would be a first step. All of us have <br />experienced roadside littering firsthand and it is distressing. <br />Commissioner Tippin made an observation that, no matter what you may have read, <br />he does love "critters". <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Macht, <br />SECONDED by Commissioner Adams, the Board, <br />by a 4-0 vote (Commissioner Ginn being absent) <br />unanimously authorized the Chairman to draft a <br />letter to various local law enforcement agencies <br />asking for more diligent enforcement of the litter <br />laws. <br />14A SOLID WASTE DISPOSAL DISTRICT <br />The Chairman announced that, immediately upon adjournment, the Board would <br />reconvene as the Board of Commissioners of the Solid Waste Disposal District.
