Mr. Summers invited the Board and the public to come to the second annual Vero <br />Beach Pow Wow, being sponsored by the County Recreation Department. He then <br />introduced Linda Manning and Court Jones, Teen Escape counselors and advisors, and noted <br />that the event could not get off the ground without these advisors. <br />Chairman Tippin felt this is a wonderful effort. <br />Commissioner Adams questioned whether research is done and whether the costumes <br />worn are authentic. <br />Linda Manning stated that as a part of the program, arts and crafts are taught and the <br />kids are taught to make their own costumes. <br />Court Jones noted that most of the participants are from 11 to 15 years old. <br />6. APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />The Chairman asked if there were any corrections or additions to the Minutes of the <br />Regular Meeting of January 20, 1998. There were none. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Eggert, <br />SECONDED by Commissioner Adams, the Board <br />unanimously approved the Minutes of the Regular <br />Meeting of January 20, 1998, as written. <br />7. CONSENT AGENDA <br />Commissioner Ginn requested the removal of Items 7.1), 7.I., 71, and 7.M. for <br />discussion. <br />Commissioner Macht requested the removal of Items 7.M. and 7.0. for discussion. <br />Chairman Tippin requested the removal of Item 7.M. for discussion. <br />7.A.
