r <br />Commissioner Eggert announced her findings that the City of Vero Beach is not a <br />permanent member of the Council and that her particular concerns are outlined on Page 271 <br />of the backup. In order to get a space for a municipality, the County would have to give up <br />one of its representatives. <br />Chairman Tippin emphasized that he had been unaware of the system of naming a <br />voting representative at the Board's last meeting and had thought that the City of Vero Beach <br />was a permanent member of the Council. He would not have voted as he did had he known <br />and he suggested that action be rescinded. <br />Commissioner Adams agreed and felt that nothing further should be done until some <br />request is received from either the City Council of Sebastian and/or Vero Beach. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Macht, <br />SECONDED by Commissioner Eggert, the Board <br />unanimously rescinded its Motion of February 3, <br />1998, approving a request to the Treasure Coast <br />Regional Planning Council to add the City of <br />Sebastian as a permanent voting member. <br />14.A. EMERGENCY SERVICES DISTRICT <br />The Chairman announced that, immediately upon adjournment, the Board would <br />reconvene as the Board of Commissioners of the Emergency Services District. Those <br />Minutes are being prepared separately. <br />14.B. SOLID WASTE DISPOSAL DISTRICT <br />The Chairman announced that immediately upon adjournment of the Emergency <br />Services District Meeting, the Board would reconvene as the Board of Commissioners of the <br />Solid Waste Disposal District.
