0 0 <br />11A CONTRACT FOR PURCHASE OF NORTH BARRIER <br />ISLAND PARCEL FOR EMERGENCY SERVICES STATION - LIER <br />The Board reviewed a Memorandum of February 10, 1998: <br />TO: Honorable Board of County Commissioners <br />THROUGH: Jim Chandler, County Administrator <br />FROM: Doug Wright, Director <br />Emergency Services I <br />DATE: February 10, 1998 <br />SUBJECT: Purchase of Property For Emergency Services Station - North Barrier Island <br />On February 3, 1998, the Board of County Commissioners voted to accept and consider a <br />Contract For Sale and Purchase in connection with the Lier property located on CR 510 for the <br />purpose of constructing an emergency services station. The Contract for Sale and Purchase was <br />received on February 10, 1998, for 1.50 acres of property with the purchase price stated as <br />$115,000. <br />The Addendum to Contract For Sale and Purchase provides for the Seller to pay the expense for <br />title insurance and the Buyer to pay the expense for all other costs associated with the closing <br />such as documentary stamps, recording fees, etc. <br />The second clause in the Addendum to Contract For Sale and Purchase provides for the Buyer <br />to pay the expense for and construct a CBS six (6) foot high by 381.32 foot long wall along the <br />western edge of the property to minimize the intrusion on the existing grove. <br />The matter is now before the Board for consideration and direction to staff. <br />ATTACHIVIF.NTS: <br />1. Letter from Attorney Byron T. Cooksey representing Ms. Jeannette M. Lier dated <br />February 10, 1998. <br />2. Survey of property. <br />3. Four (4) Contract For Sale And Purchase originals signed by Jeannette M. Lier, Trustee, <br />with attachments - Schedule "A" Description of Land and Addendum To Contract For <br />Sale And Purchase. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Eggert, SECONDED BY <br />Commissioner Adams, the Board unanimously (4-0 Chairman <br />Tippin absent) approved the purchase of the Lier property <br />located on CR 510 for the purpose of constructing an emergency <br />services station in the amount of $115,000. <br />February 17, 1998 <br />23 <br />i Odd L F��GC 40 <br />
