Keller, CLA <br />Legal Assistant - County Attorney's Office <br />DATE: March 27, 1998 <br />RE: 4 Recently Acquired Properties - Tax Cancellations <br />The County recently acquired some property and, pursuant to Section 196.28, F.S., the <br />Board of County Commissioners is allowed to cancel and discharge any taxes owed on the <br />portion of the property acquired for public purpose. Such cancellation must be done by <br />resolution with a certified co -o being forward to the Tax Collector (along with copies sent to <br />the Property Appraiser and Fixed Assets). <br />Reauested Action: Board authorize the Chairman to sign the attached resolutions canceling <br />taxes upon lands the County recently acquired. <br />Attachments: Resolutions with legals - <br />RlW - 58th Ave. - Rollins <br />RAN - CR 512 - Bresee <br />North Barrier Island Fre Station - Liar <br />RNV - CR 510 - Smith & Johnson <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Eggert, <br />SECONDED by Commissioner Adams, the Board <br />unanimously adopted Resolution 98-040 cancelling <br />certain delinquent taxes upon publicly owned lands, <br />pursuant to Section 196.28, Florida Statutes (Robert <br />H. Rollins - 58'h Avenue Right -of -Way). <br />APRIL 14, 1998 <br />
