Community Development Director Bob Keating reviewed the Memorandum and <br />advised that the Planning and Zoning Commission approved the rezoning 7 to 0; however, <br />the proposed MED rezoning for the property will not take effect until such time as the <br />County's recently submitted comprehensive plan amendment has been finalized. <br />The Chairman opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished to be heard <br />regarding this matter. <br />Attorney Bruce Barkett stated he is representing the applicants and is here to answer <br />any questions. <br />The Chairman asked if anyone else wished to be heard regarding this matter. There <br />being none, the Chairman closed the public hearing. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Macht, <br />SECONDED by Commissioner Grin, the Board <br />— unanimously adopted Ordinance 98-006 amending <br />the Zoning Ordinance and the accompany Zoning <br />Map from RS -6 to MED, for the property located at <br />the southwest comer of Indian River Boulevard and <br />41' Street, and described herein, and providing for <br />effective date (Triple S Properties, Inc. and Crazy <br />Woman Properties, Inc.). <br />ORDINANCE NO. 98- 06 <br />AN ORDINANCE OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, AMENDING THE <br />ZONING ORDINANCE AND THE ACCOMPANYING ZONING MAP FROM <br />RS -6 TO MED, FOR THE PROPERTY LOCATED AT THE SOUTHWEST <br />CORNER OF INDIAN RIVER BOULEVARD AND 41sT STREET, AND <br />DESCRIBED HEREIN, AND PROVIDING FOR EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Commission, sitting as the local planning agency on <br />such matters, has held a public hearing and subsequently made a recommendation regarding this <br />rezoning request; and <br />WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, Florida, did <br />publish and send its Notice of Intent to rezone the hereinafter described property; and <br />APRIL 14, 1998 <br />
