Commissioner Adams then asked Commissioner Eggert about a third party appraisal, <br />and Commissioner Eggert asked if they were willing to accept the outcome if it was $20 <br />million. Commissioner Eggert was not willing to do that. <br />The Chairman CALLED THE QUESTION and the motion <br />carried 4-1 (Vice Chairman Macht opposed). <br />Commissioner Ginn wanted to call a moratorium on any spending for other parcels, <br />and Commissioner Eggert understood that essentially the County was at moratorium. <br />Commissioner Grin wanted to move forward on the Flinn, Harmony Oaks, and <br />Carson Platt purchases and call a moratorium until this Lost Tree Island matter is settled. <br />She hoped the County would move on it aggressively as requested by City of Vero Beach <br />and Town of Indian River Shores. <br />Commissioner Eggert hoped the parties would be able to meet within the next week. <br />She understood that nothing could be purchased until presented to LAAC and then to the <br />Board. She was against moratoriums. <br />8. C. Land Acquisition Advisory Committee Chairman Resignation - <br />Anointment of Temporary Chairman (title inserted for record- <br />keTg nurpo <br />Vice Chairman Macht announced that he was resigning as Chairman of the LAAC, <br />that he would not participate in this "rape of the public". <br />Chairman Tippin was sorry to hear his resignation, accepted Commissioner Eggert's <br />offer, and appointed her to temporarily take back the Chairmanship of the LAAC. <br />9.A.1.
