11 <br />ANALYSIS <br />Construction of this assessment project is now complete. Substantial <br />completion was achieved on March 27, 1998, with connections to customers <br />beginning approximately two weeks later. A final walk through was conducted <br />on May 7, 1998 and the project was finalized. Change Order No. 1 (final) is <br />for a contract reduction of $93.48, which equates to a final contract amount <br />of $59,836.42. The final reconciliation change order is attached for <br />detailed review and consists mainly of minor material, quantity and service <br />changes as a result of minor rerouting of the line during construction. The <br />final pay request in the amount of $12,335.84 is also attached for review and <br />approval. <br />Resolution No. IV, indicating the final dollar amounts to be assessed to <br />individual customers will follow shortly. Upon Board of County <br />Commissioners' approval, the final letters will be mailed out to all <br />customers within this project. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />The staff of the Department of Utility Services recommends that the Board of <br />County Commissioners approve and authorize the Chairman to execute the final <br />pay request and change order to Treasure Coast Contracting, Inc. as <br />presented. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Eggert, <br />SECONDED by Commissioner Ginn, the Board <br />unanimously approved the final pay request and <br />change order of Treasure Coast Contracting, Inc. and <br />authorized the Chairman to execute same, as <br />recommended by staff. <br />DOCUMENTS ARE ON FILE IN THE OFFICE <br />OF THE CLERK TO THE BOARD <br />13.B.
