The appraiser clearly stated that he could not proceed on the <br />assumption that the islands could not be developed. The value assigned by the appraiser was <br />defensible and is somewhat less now. Based on his conversation with Anne Peery, <br />Executive Director of FCT, he had no hesitation in releasing the appraisals. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Macht, <br />SECONDED by Commissioner Adams the Board <br />unanimously deemed the negotiations with Lost Tree <br />Village terminated on June 8, 1998, and authorized <br />the release of the appraisals retroactively to that <br />date. <br />MOTION WAS MADE by Commissioner Macht to <br />offer Lost Tree Village the appraised value for the <br />lands and to simultaneously apply to Florida <br />Communities Trust for matching funds. <br />THE MOTION FAILED FOR LACK OF A <br />SECOND. <br />MOTION WAS MADE by Commissioner Ginn to <br />authorize the County negotiating team to reopen <br />negotiations with Lost Tree Village. <br />THE MOTION FAILED FOR LACK OF A <br />SECOND. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Eggert, <br />SECONDED by Commissioner Ginn, the Board <br />-- unanimously approved making application to <br />reinstate the process with Florida Communities Trust <br />through December, 1998. <br />JUNE 169 1998 <br />Lk <br />
