CHILDREN'S HOME SOCIETYPRESENTATION <br />Amanda McGee, Executive Director ofthe Treasure Coast Children's Home Society, <br />thanked the Board for the recently approved lease for the home for abused young women. <br />The Society is excited by the cooperation in helping these young women transition into <br />responsible adults. The community will reap the benefits of this program for years to come. <br />Commissioner Macht noted that Ms. McGee is really a Tanner and that he first knew <br />her in the Republic of Panama, where her mother taught English to 2 of his children. <br />Ms. McGee presented a plaque to the Chairman and to each Commissioner with <br />gratitude for their support. <br />Ms. McGee then presented a Proclamation to General Services Director Sonny Dean <br />who had been extremely helpful in the negotiations for the Society. <br />6. APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />The Chairman asked if there were any corrections or additions to the Minutes of the <br />Regular Meetings of May 19, 1998 and May 26, 1998. There were none. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Eggert, <br />SECONDED by Commissioner Ginn, the Board <br />unanimously approved the Minutes of the Regular <br />Meetings of May 19, 1998 and May 26, 1998, as <br />written. <br />7. CONSENT AGENDA <br />Commissioners Adams and Macht requested that Item 7.D. be pulled for discussion. <br />7.A.
