CHAi!L�I`I`Y <br />AND STAFFED MANAGER OF PROJECTS <br />BY: DEPARTMENT SERVICES <br />SUBJECT: WEST MEADOWS WATER SERVICE <br />45TH AVENUE AND 45= COURT, NORTH OF 4= STREET <br />INDIAN RIVER COUNTY PROJECT NO. UW -97 -05 -DS <br />RESOLUTION IV - FINAL ASSESSMENT <br />On September 2, 1997, the Indian River County Board of County <br />Commissioners approved Resolution 111, (97-89), for the preliminary <br />assessment roll on the above -referenced project. Construction of the project <br />has been completed. Customer connections have begun, and we request the <br />Board of County Commissioners' approval of the final assessment roll. (See <br />attached minutes and Resolution III.) <br />ANALYSIS <br />The preliminary assessment was for a total estimated cost to be assessed of <br />$76,000.00, which equated to $0.119693 per square foot of property owned. <br />The final assessment (see attached Resolution IV and the accompanying <br />assessment roll) is in the amount of $61,452.16, which equates to a cost of <br />$0.093325 (rounded) per square foot of property. This is a project cost and <br />assessment reduction of 19.14%. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />The staff of the Department of Utility Services recommends that the Board of <br />County Commissioners approve the adoption of Resolution IV. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Eggert, <br />SECONDED by Commissioner Ginn, the Board <br />unanimously adopted Resolution 98-070 certifying <br />"as -built" costs for installation of water service to <br />West Meadows Subdivision and such other <br />construction necessitated by such project; providing <br />for formal completion date, and date for payment <br />without penalty and interest. <br />JULY 79 1998 <br />
