ON MOTION by Commissioner Macht, <br />SECONDED by Commissioner Ginn, the Board <br />unanimously (1) appointed Commissioners Adams, <br />Macht, and Ginn, to serve on the Value Adjustment <br />Board for 1998, with Chairman Tippin and <br />Commissioner Eggert designated as alternates; (2) <br />selected Tuesday, August 11, 1998 at 8:45 a.m. in <br />the First Floor Conference Room of the County <br />Administration Building for the organizational <br />meeting with the School Board and Property <br />Appraiser; and (3) adopted Resolution 98-071 <br />appointing the 1998 Value Adjustment Board <br />Members and waiving statutory per diem <br />compensation. <br />RESOLUTION NO. 98-71 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, <br />FLORIDA, APPOINTING THE 1988 VALUE <br />ADJUSTMENT BOARD MEMBERS, AND REJECTING <br />STATUTORY PER DIEM COMPENSATION. <br />WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners Is required to <br />appoint three members to the Value Adjustment Board by Florida Statutes, Section <br />194.015; and <br />WHEREAS, the School Board of Indian River County has appointed <br />its membership to the Board with allowance of per diem compensation for such <br />members in accordance with Florida Statutes, Section 194.015 (1997); and <br />WHEREAS, the cited statute requires a specific election from both the <br />County Commission and the School Board in order to allow such compensation; and <br />WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Indian River <br />County elect to waive the statutory per diem compensation, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County <br />Commissioners of Indian River County, Florida, that: <br />1. The foregoing recitals are hereby ratified and acknowledged; <br />2. Commissioners Adams, Macht, and Ginn are appointed to the <br />1998 Value Adjustment Board with Commissioners Tippin and Eggert as alternates; <br />and <br />JULY 79 1998 <br />
