BOOK 1-00 FAGS I <br />ALTERNATIVES <br />With respect to the proposed revisions to the Local Housing Assistance Plan, the Board of County <br />Commissioners has three alternatives. These are: <br />P. To adopt the revised plan <br />I. To adopt the revised plan with changes <br />To reject the revised plan <br />Staff supports either of the first two alternatives. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Staff recommends that the Board of County Commissioners adopt the attached resolution approving <br />the revised Indian River County Local Housing Assistance Plan and direct staff to submit two copies <br />of the revised plan to the Florida Housing Finance Corporation for its review and approval. <br />ATTACHMENTS <br />1. A copy of the revised Indian River County Local Housing Assistance Plan is available for <br />review at the Board of County Commissioners office <br />2. Copy of the resolution amending the plan <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Ginn, SECONDED BY <br />Commissioner Adams, the Board unanimously adopted <br />Resolution 98-72 amending the County's Local Housing <br />Assistant Plan for FY 1998-99 and FY 1999-2000, as <br />recommended by staff. <br />RESOLUTION NO 98- 72 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN <br />RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA AMENDING THE COUNTY'S LOCAL HOUSING <br />ASSISTANCE PLAN FOR FY 1998-99, AND FY 1999-2000. <br />WHEREAS, Chapter 420, Florida Statutes, describes the State <br />Housing Initiative Partnership Program (SHIP), and states that the <br />principal objective of that program is to increase the amount of <br />affordable housing within the State of Florida; and <br />WHEREAS, on April 6, 1993, Indian River County approved <br />ordinance number 93-13, establishing the Local Housing Assistance <br />Program; and <br />WHEREAS, the current county's Local Housing Assistance plan <br />expires on June 30, 2000; and <br />My 14, 1998 <br />Ml <br />0 if <br />
