July 14, 1998 <br />The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, Florida, met in Regular <br />Session at the County Commission Chambers, 1840 25' Street, Vero Beach, Florida, on <br />Tuesday, July 14, 1998. Present were John W. Tippin, Chairman; Kenneth R. Macht, Vice <br />Chairman; Fran B. Adams; Carolyn K. Eggert and Caroline D. Ginn. Also present were <br />James E. Chandler, County Administrator; Charles P. Vitunac, CountyAttorney; and Patricia <br />Ridgely, Deputy Clerk. <br />1. CALL TO ORDER <br />The Chairman called the meeting to order at 9:00 a.m. <br />2. INVOCATION <br />Chairman Tippin delivered the invocation. <br />3. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE <br />Commissioner Ginn led the Pledge to the Flag. <br />4. ADDITIONS TO THE AGENDA <br />Commissioner Eggert requested that item I I.A.2. be heard prior to the 9.A.2. public <br />hearing. <br />Vice Chairman Macht advised that City of Vero Beach Councilman Jack Grossett <br />asked to speak a few words about Lost Tree Islands. (9.B.) <br />Chairman Tippin requested the addition of 13.A.1 concerning the Florida Association <br />of Counties Revision 7 Campaign and 13.A.2., Tax Collector Karl Zimmermann's request <br />to reschedule public hearings to consider expanding the County Seat to include Luria Plaza. <br />July 14, 1998 <br />1 <br />BOOK lug FAa. <br />
