Florida 32960 <br />Dear Chairman Tippin: <br />Attached is a letter from the State Attorney General's Office concerning the 1998-1999 Victims <br />of Crime Act (VOCA) grant for the Sheriffs Office Victim Assistance Program. The grant <br />award is for a total of $45.903. There is a 25% in-kind match which the Sheriffs Office is <br />covering with existing budgeted personnel and office space. <br />The grant will cover full-time salary for the current VOCA funded part time assistant and all <br />expenses and equipment required by the position. as well as volunteers. The position's continued <br />full time staffing is contingent on continued funding through VOCA each year. Fiscal impact to <br />the county will be minimal. and absorbed by the Victim Services Unit's operating budget. <br />Therefore.
