Keating, AICP A01' <br />Community Development Director <br />FROM: Jacob Riger ?R <br />MPO Staff Planner <br />DATE: August 13, 1998 <br />SUBJECT: APPROVAL OF CONSULTANT CONTRACT FOR I-95/OSLO ROAD <br />INTERCHANGE JUSTIFICATION REPORT PROJECT <br />It is requested that the information presented herein be given formal consideration by the Board of <br />County Commissioners at its regular meeting of August 18, 1998. <br />At its February 10, 1998 meeting, the Board of County Commissioners approved the execution of <br />a Joint Participation Agreement with the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) to fund the <br />preparation of an Interchange Justification Report (UR) for a proposed interchange at I-95 and Oslo <br />Road. Subsequently, staff initiated the process of selecting a consultant to prepare the IJR. At its <br />July 7, 1998 meeting, the Board approved the consultant selection committee's rankings of the <br />proposals received for this project. <br />Since then, staff has successfully negotiated a contract with the top-ranked firm, Reynolds, Smith <br />and Hills, Inc. (RSH), of Jacksonville.
