ON MOTION by Commissioner Eggert, <br />SECONDED by Commissioner Macht, the Board <br />unanimously adopted Resolution 98-089 establishing <br />an Advisory Group for review of the Jungle Trail <br />Conservation Area Management Plan with the <br />entities as recommended and appointed <br />Commissioner Kenneth R. Macht as Chair. <br />Resolution No. 98 - 8 9 <br />A RESOLUTION OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY ESTABLISHING <br />AN ADVISORY GROUP FOR REVIEW OF THE JUNGLE TRAIL <br />CONSERVATION AREA MANAGEMENT PLAN <br />WHEREAS, Section 259.032, Florida Statutes, requires that individual management plans <br />for properties purchased under the State Conservation and Recreational Lands (CARL) program be <br />developed with input from an advisory group; and <br />WHEREAS, the County is in the process of having a management plan developed for a <br />CARL purchased property now known as the Jungle Trail Conservation Area; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, THAT: <br />Section 1. Pstabkic_hment <br />The Indian River County Jungle Trail Conservation Area. Advisory Group <br />is hereby established. <br />Section 2. Membership <br />The Advisory Group shall have twelve voting members appointed by the Board of <br />County Commissioners. The initial membership shall be as follows: <br />• County commissioner (serving as chair to the advisory group) <br />• Representative of the Sea Oaks Condominium Association <br />• Representative of the Environmental Learning Center <br />• Representative of the Florida Native Plant Society <br />• Representative of the Indian River Soil and Water Conservation District <br />• Representative of Island Club Homeowners Association <br />• Representative of the Pelican Island Audubon Society <br />• Representative of the Disney Beach Resort <br />• Indian River County Historian <br />• Chad Kelly (adjacent property owner) <br />• Dr. "Slip" Barkett (adjacent property owner) <br />• Jim Thomas, Biologist <br />SEPTEMBER 1, 1998 <br />-85- <br />BOOK 0 PAGE <br />
