PASSING OF COUNTY EMPLOYEE, JIMMIE MOSELEY <br />Chairman Tippin announced the passing of a conscientious and hard-working County <br />employee, Jimmie Moseley, who had been in ill health and refused to take sick leave. <br />Building and Grounds will be accepting donations for the family. <br />13.A.2. TREASURE COAST COUNCIL OF LOCAL <br />GOVERNMENTS' ANNUAL DINNER MEETING <br />Chairman Tippin announced that the Treasure Coast Council of Local Governments <br />will be holding their annual dinner meeting in St. Lucie County on the evening of November <br />12, 1998. He advised that the speaker, Robert Kutchera (owner/operator of Business Humor <br />Corporation) is fantastic and suggested the Commissioners put the meeting in their calendars. <br />More information will be forthcoming. <br />13.A.3. DIVERSITY OF GOVERNMENT MAIL <br />Chairman Tippin advised that quite a bit of mail comes into the Board of County <br />Commissioners office from various governmental entities. He commented that in a recent <br />mail he had received two diverse letters, one from the U.S. Department of the Interior, Fish <br />and Wildlife Service advocating and asking for assistance in implementing intensive land <br />management including prescribed burning and the other from Manatee County Board of <br />County Commissioners advising oftheir adoption of aresolution and requesting the County's <br />support in the formation of a state-wide "Clean Air Task Force." <br />(CLERK'S NOTE: The two letters referred to above are on file <br />with the backup of the meeting.) <br />13.
