6 <br />BOOK 0 FV'F 3 <br />Commissioner Adams advised that County Commissioners are forming a team for the <br />United Way's Day of Caring on October 1-Iffi . She is expecting all the Commissioners and <br />staffto sip up. She has requested that the team be assigned to sorting food at the food bank. <br />Commissioner Ginn regretted that she would be out of town during that time, and she <br />knew that Vice Chairman Macht would be also. <br />Chairman Tippin said he would be there and suggested that those who could not make <br />it could "hire alternates to come and help." <br />Commissioner Adams also wanted to say a special "thank you" to her husband, Tom, <br />who has been married to her for 25 years and "needs a gold medal." <br />13.E. SOLID WASTE DISPOSAL DISTRICT - PETITION <br />HEARING DATE & TIME <br />(Clerk's Note: This matter was actually heard following I LH.3.) <br />Commissioner Ginn expressed concern that the Solid Waste Disposal District petition <br />hearing scheduled for Tuesday, September 15, 1998, at 10:30 a.m., might conflict with the <br />invitation to the Commissioners for the Citrus League's luncheon. <br />Administrator Chandler advised that there were only two petitions filed and staff <br />would make every effort to keep the morning Board of County Commissioners' agenda light. <br />Executive Aide to the Board Alice White advised that she had called the Citrus <br />League to explain there would be a meeting that day. <br />NO ACTION TAKEN. <br />14A SOLID WASTE DISPOSAL DISTRICT <br />The Chairman announced that the Board would meet as the Commissioners of the <br />Solid Waste Disposal District at the conclusion of this meeting. <br />Those Minutes are being prepared separately. <br />September 8, 1998 <br />58 <br />
