ON MOTION by Commissioner Ginn, SECONDED <br />by Commissioner Adams, the Board, by a 3-0 vote <br />(Chairman Tippin and Commissioner Eggert being <br />absent), unanimously adopted Resolution 98-116 in <br />support of the application of the City of Sebastian <br />for a Florida Recreation Development Assistance <br />Program grant for the expansion of Riverview Park. <br />RESOLUTION NO. 98-116 <br />A RESOLUTION OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, <br />FLORIDA, IN SUPPORT OF THE APPLICATION <br />OF THE CITY OF SEBASTIAN FOR A FLORIDA <br />RECREATION DEVELOPMENT ASSISTANCE <br />PROGRAM GRANT FOR THE EXPANSION OF <br />RIVERVIEW PARK. <br />WHEREAS, the City of Sebastian has determined that it is in the best <br />interest of the public health, safety, and welfare to expand Riverview Park, which <br />is located within the municipal limits of the City of Sebastian in Indian River <br />County; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Sebastian has an opportunity to obtain a grant from <br />the Florida Recreational Development Assistance Program for the acquisition of <br />land for the expansion of this park; and <br />WHEREAS, all Indian River County residents would benefit by this <br />proposed property acquisition for park expansion; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that the Board <br />supports the City of Sebastian's proposed acquisition of land for the expansion of <br />Riverview Park. <br />The resolution was moved for adoption by Commissioner Ginn, and the <br />motion was seconded by Commissioner Adams, and, upon being put to a vote, <br />the vote was as follows: <br />Chairman John W.
